Since we were down to three chickens and one rooster, Dennis decided we should get a few more layers. So we got 5 cute new chicks the end of March. But, in April mother nature thought we needed one more little chick. She (we hope) came to us from our own chickens. Our hen layed on about 12 eggs right out our back door under some Ivy. Only one little chick hatched. So we brought it in, while the weather was off and on so cold. We moved the bigger chicks out to the hen house. The girls immediately loved our new little puff of grey and white chick and Ivy named it Wylie. It gets lots of attention especially since it's any only "chick".
